Right-click to download! Showy Sida (Sida lindheimeri) Malvaceae
This small flowered beauty grows in my yard. It could be easy to overlook and blooms only at certain times of the day. Happy hunting! (1600x1200, 259kb)

Right-click to download! Shore Milkweed (Asclepias perennis) Asclepiadaceae
Taken near Wadsworth, Texas. The ditches in this one area are sometimes full of this gorgeous plant in bloom. (1600x1200, 222kb)

Right-click to download! Brown-Eyed Susan (Rudbeckia hirta) Asteraceae
Taken near Halletsville, Texas. All the flowers had the reddish color near the inside of the ray flowers. This is different from the "normal" ones that I am accustomed to seeing. Visit the detail page for Brown-Eyed Susan. (1600x1200, 214kb)

Lance-Leaf Loosestrife (Lythrum alatum var. lanceolatum) Lythraceae
These flowers grow all over, even in the sandy beach areas. They are nice when planted in the garden, growing into thick tall clumps with flowers all over. (1600x1200, 217kb)

Globe Berry (Ibervillea lindheimeri) Cucurbitaceae
This plant has leaves and fruit that resemble those of cucumber - the family to which it belongs. Its flowers are another story though. Wow! The next gallery has another wallpaper of these flowers. (1600x1200, 226kb)
