Drilling operations
have begun on Padre Island National Seashore.
BNP Petroleum and its foreign investors are driving
up to 20 heavy trucks a day up and down the beaches
of Padre Island National Seashore to drill for
only one day's worth of natural gas. But there's
a better way! The Bush administration has the
opportunity to protect Padre from this disgrace
by buying the mineral rights under Padre. Protecting
Padre from drilling is good for the local economy.
It's good for the restoration of sea turtles.
And it's good for America. Why won't the Bush
administration do the right thing and stop the
drilling on Padre forever? Find
out more about this time critical nature crisis.
OK. So this What's Hot isn't strictly nature
related. I just had to show you these incredible fonts.
Although the word "fonts" just doesn't do
justice to these works of art. The picture above is
from just one of the many you can find on Manfred
Klein's page.
